DemoCampYEG is one of Edmonton's longest running tech events, with
over 50 DemoCamps over the past 10+ years. It started as a community led event, and still is today - 100% volunteer and community driven. Essentially, it's a showcase of what folks are building in the technology space in Edmonton - a series of 7 minute demos, and a few Q&A. We get together one evening a quarter, see the awesome things people are building, and then chat over beers. Simple, interesting, fun.
The definition of what can be demoed at DemoCampYEG is broad. Over the years, we've had product/software/beta/concept/project demos from:
- Students (of all ages)
- Hackathon creations
- Basement tinkerers
- Startups/Scaleups (one person ideation through to fully launched product)
- Academic researchers
DemoCamp is about showing what you've built, and how you built it. No pitch decks, presentations on "go to market", or questions on business plans.
